J&K Bank Football Academy clinches Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Development League 2025–26 Continuing its strong commitment to nurturing youth talent and promoting sports excellence, J&K Bank Football Academy Kashmir emerged champions of the Under 17 - Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Development League 2025–26, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. The Bank’s Under-17 team delivered a stellar performance, winning the coveted title after an emphatic and unbeaten run across all 14 matches in the league. The tournament witnessed participation of 16 teams, conducted in three competitive phases, out of which only four teams advanced to the final round—J&K Bank Football Academy Kashmir, Downtown Heroes Football Academy Srinagar, DPS Baramulla and Sanctorum Football Club & Academy Sopore. In the final double-leg phase, J&K Bank continued its dominant form, remaining unbeaten in all six matches and finishing at the top of the table with 18 points. The team sealed the championship on Monday by defeating Sanctorum Football Club & Academy Sopore 4–0 in the closing match of the tournament, played as part of the league’s closing ceremony. Congratulating the team on their stellar performance, Chairman Bank’s Sports Board Syed Rais Maqbool said, “This outstanding and unbeaten performance by our young footballers reflects the Bank’s sustained focus on holistic development of youth through sports. We believe that platforms like the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports League not only help in sharpening competitive skills but also instil discipline, teamwork and leadership among youngsters. The Bank will continue to invest in sporting talent to help nurture future champions from the region.” Senior officials of the Bank including AGM (Culture & Sports) Bilal Ahmad Kuchhay, Team Manager Iftikhar Ahmad attended the closing ceremony to encourage the young players, alongside office bearers of the J&K Football Association. The AGM, together with a representative of the Reliance Foundation, presented the championship trophy and individual awards to the players. Led by the academy’s coaches Manzoor Ahmad and Shahnaz Iqbal, the Bank’s victorious team hoisted the trophy and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 50000 along with individual medals. In a remarkable achievement, the Bank’s team also swept all the major individual honours of the tournament. Mohammad Musaib-ul-Haq was adjudged Golden Gloves (Best Goalkeeper), Mohammad Hamza clinched the Golden Boot (Highest Scorer), while the Golden Ball (Best Player of the Tournament) award was conferred upon Wahid Ahmad, all from J&K Bank Football Academy.
