J&K Bank accords warm farewell to its General Manager on superannuation J&K Bank today accorded a warm farewell to its General Manager Nishikant Sharma on his superannuation after rendering nearly 36 years of dedicated service to the institution. The farewell meeting, chaired by MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee, was attended by Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, Chief General Managers, General Managers and Deputy General Managers and other senior officers. Over the course of his long career, GM Nishikant Sharma held several key positions in the Bank and served across diverse operational assignments in Jammu & Kashmir as well as outside the Union Territory. In his last assignment at the Corporate Headquarters, he headed several key departments including Corporate & International Banking/ Forex, Digital & Alternate Channels, Credit Monitoring and Asset Centralization. Speaking on the occasion, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee acknowledged the immense value of experience that senior executives bring to the organisation and the void created upon their superannuation. He said, “It is always a moment of mixed emotions for the Bank as we bid farewell to senior management functionaries like Nishikant Sharma. The wealth of experience, institutional knowledge and professional commitment that such officers carry is truly invaluable for the organisation.” The MD & CEO extended his best wishes to the retiring officer for a healthy, fulfilling and happy post-retirement life. On the occasion, Nishikant Sharma expressed his gratitude to the Bank’s leadership and his colleagues for their constant support and encouragement throughout his career, recalling his journey with a sense of pride and fulfilment. “I am thankful to the Bank’s leadership and all my colleagues in the Bank for their love and support. I will keep cherishing my long and lovely journey at this beloved intuition for the rest of my life”, he said. Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, along with other senior functionaries, also appreciated the outgoing General Manager for his professionalism, dedication and efficiency, acknowledging his significant contributions to the Bank’s growth and strengthening of its operations. #JKBank #JKBank
